Responsibilities
* Maximise potential sales and overall profitability of the branch.
* Lead departmental managers and oversee sales, negotiation and stock control.
* Use market intelligence to analyse stock profiles and sales trends, anticipating future directions.
* Motivate and inspire a sizable team, acting as a role model and fostering a positive work culture.
* Maintain strong business relationships with existing customers and build a pipeline of new customers.
Qualifications
* Current or former Branch Manager, General Manager or Branch Director in the builders merchants or construction supplies sector.
* Demonstrable track record of growing and sustaining a profitable operation.
* Strong knowledge of timber products and relevant industry dynamics.
* Experience in sales, negotiation, stock control and managing sizable teams.
* Passion, determination and the ability to maintain and expand market share.
