We have an exciting opportunity for a Prison Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located in Bicester, Oxford.

HMP Bullingdon is a male remand prison with a capacity for 1,152 inmates, offering 24-hour healthcare, including an on-site inpatient unit.
Hours
37.5 hours per week. Shifts vary from 7:30-19:30, 10-22, and 7:30-17:30, including every other weekend, bank holidays, and night shifts. You may work across all areas of the prison, primarily in reception areas.
Salary
This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.

Requirements: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK. Employment is subject to vetting and security checks due to the role's nature.
Main duties of the job
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver nurse-led services and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medications, respond to emergencies, assess patients, and conduct reception screenings
* Deliver nurse-led clinics supported by a multidisciplinary team
* Provide personalized, evidence-based care and listen to patient feedback
* Deliver non-judgmental care that makes a difference
* Build strong links with partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practices, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement
* Share knowledge and expertise to ensure safe care and team development
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with NMC registration
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Understanding of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
* Compassionate, non-judgmental approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential
