About the Role:
A secondary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science. The Food Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
* Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the D&T department.
* Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum.

Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and nutrition.
* Excellent practical cooking skills.
* Excellent classroom and kitchen management skills.
* Ability to motivate and engage students.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
