An exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Graduate Optimisation Analyst supporting strategic projects and key optimisation initiatives. Reporting to the Finance Optimisation Manager, you will play a key role in analysing data and business processes to support opportunities for optimisation and automation, while also ensuring accurate preparation of acquired company data for seamless migration into the finance system. This role is a great fit for someone who is naturally curious, detail-oriented, proactive, and likes solving problems. It's ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow and develop skills in data analysis and/or project management.

Your core responsibilities
* Support in reviewing processes, workflows, and data sets to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and efficiency improvements
* Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand operational challenges and gather requirements for process enhancements.
* Supporting Biffa’s large-scale integration projectsfor finance and procurement.
* Prepare, cleanse, and validate data for migration, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during system implementations or upgrades.
* Provide actionable insights based on data analysis, helping drive evidence-based decisions.
* Update and monitor key performance indicators to track the success of optimisation initiatives and identify further improvement areas.
* Work closely with the Finance Teams on all phases of activity; communicating, planning, co-ordinating and delivering effectively and on time.
* Support the implementation and testing of automation tools and technology solutions, working closely with IT and project teams.
* Provide analysis and support across various projects, supporting the Finance Optimisation Manager with ad-hoc business requests and enquiries.

Our essential requirements
* Recent graduate with a 2.1 or higher
* Three A to C grades at A-Level
* Confident with all Microsoft Applications including advanced Excel and Power BI
* Proficiency in analysing, summarising and present data
