As a Nursing Associate at STEPS, you will provide hands-on, person-centred care as part of our interdisciplinary team. We deliver high-quality, holistic care to clients with complex rehabilitation needs, supporting their independence.
You will collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and occupational therapists to deliver comprehensive care and rehabilitation services.

About Us
STEPS is a purpose-built 23-bedroom rehabilitation facility on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, providing high-quality care from a range of medical and rehabilitation specialists. It offers a comfortable, homely environment with access to advanced therapies and equipment, including robotic and VR rehabilitation tools.
Our interdisciplinary team includes consultants in rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, neurologic music therapists, prosthetic and orthotic specialists, and experienced nurses in complex care. Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:
* Deliver high standards of care to individuals and groups under indirect supervision from registered nurses.
* Assess and monitor skin integrity, reporting any changes promptly.
* Recognize and respond to changes in clients' conditions, seeking advice as needed.
* Provide compassionate care while undertaking clinical tasks under supervision, promoting health and independence.
* Carry out wound care, dressings, and clinical observations (blood pressure, temperature, respirations, pulse).
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring effects and reporting to the nursing team.

Person Specification
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build effective working relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
* Awareness of equality and diversity obligations in care and teamwork.
Qualifications
* Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
Experience
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary team under supervision.
* Experience following policies and procedures.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
Disclosure
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary ranges from £28,400 to £30,700 per year, pro-rata, with a generous benefits package.
