This new full-time position is available from no earlier than 1st November 2025 on a fixed-term basis until 31st October 2026 within Research Services.

Summary of the role
This role is within the Research Development and Management pillar of the Research Services Directorate, supporting academics across the full research project lifecycle, from horizon scanning, research development, bidding, contracting, project management, financial post-award management, to post-project development and reporting. The team combines discipline-focused resources with funder-focused expertise. Staff are organized into clusters based on funder groups or research services, including Health, Bio-environment, Physical sciences and technology, Social sciences, Humanities, and European/International.
This position will be aligned with the Health and Life Sciences Cluster, working closely with academics in our Medical School and Biosciences disciplines to support research funding, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and advance knowledge in healthcare, biomedical sciences, and life sciences.
Main purpose of the role
To provide research development and management support and advice to academics throughout the research project lifecycle, from idea to impact. This includes identifying funding opportunities, coordinating bid development, and supporting live and post-project activities. The role will support standard to high-risk/complex projects.
