We are now recruiting for a Research Manager to support our expanding portfolio and deliver high quality research to our clients. Our Research Managers are responsible for leading their own projects and playing a key role on our large projects. They lead teams, manage people and have the opportunity to be an active part of growing client relationships through their work, and participating in business development.
We have specific opportunities to work across a range of topics including:
1. The development of official statistics for tourism and leisure
2. Energy policy feedback and customer satisfaction with utilities
3. Employee engagement
4. Health policy
Key Responsibilities
5. Leading the design of research materials e.g. questionnaires and topic guides
6. Day-to-day project management; including planning, problem solving and supervising delivery
7. Managing project teams
8. Managing junior/early career researchers
9. Ensuring the quality of research materials
10. Ensuring projects progress in line with BMG quality processes and standards
11. Preparing presentations and reports for clients to a high standard
12. Client servicing and management
13. Reporting results in a clear, concise and impactful way
Person Specification:
14. 4+ years’ experience of leading research projects
15. Ability to manage project teams and the end-to-end research process
16. Ability to work independently across projects
17. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities accompanied by good numerical skills
18. A knowledge of society and current affairs
19. An understanding of data and analytical processes
20. An ability to transform data/findings into an interesting story
21. A full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
22. Effective and efficient time management
23. A keen eye for detail
