Shape the Future of Sustainable Process Manufacturing! Are you a process-led Project Engineering Manager with experience delivering complex engineering projects in pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, or high-integrity manufacturing environments? This is a rare opportunity to take a pivotal role in delivering two large-scale, cutting-edge industrial projects backed by significant investment. These initiatives focus on sustainable fuel production, incorporating pharma-grade systems, advanced powder handling, and scalable processing technology from FEED through to final delivery. You will be site-based near Preston, overseeing the engineering execution of: * A brand-new manufacturing facility, currently at the FEED stage. * An upgrade and scale-up programme, modernising existing infrastructure and building a new facility 1.5x larger to support expanded production capacity. You will lead all aspects of project engineering, ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence across the board. Job Responsibilities: * Project Delivery: Take full accountability for engineering execution across scope, schedule, cost, and quality. * Engineering Leadership: Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. * Strategy & Scope Management: Define and manage engineering strategy, scope boundaries, and delivery methodologies. * Team Coordination: Lead coordination across internal teams and external contractors/suppliers. * Risk & Change Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and changes to maintain control and project success. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with key functions including the Centre of Excellence, HyCOgen Business, CT Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement. * Value & Innovation: Drive value engineering, continuous improvement, and a collaborative culture throughout the project lifecycle. * Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing, accountable engineering team. * CDM Compliance: Ensure robust application of CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations at all phases. Experience Required: * A relevant engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related discipline; chartered status is highly desirable. * Extensive experience in site-based, multidisciplinary project engineering roles within EPCm or similar delivery models. * Proven track record delivering complex projects from FEED through to construction and commissioning. * Previous exposure to pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, oil & gas, or advanced powder handling systems is strongly preferred. * Excellent working knowledge and application of UK CDM Regulations. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with a hands-on approach to site delivery. * Outstanding stakeholder communication and engagement abilities
