Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.
Shifts work across seven days a week,
EVENING – 2:00 pm – 10:00/11:00 pm
Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities
Our Care Professionals are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and support with medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.
Helping clients overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including using and caring for aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
Assisting with domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.
Supporting clients with personal care such as washing, bathing, and toileting.
Helping with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, and assisting with feeding if required.
Assisting with medication administration.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Providing companionship to prevent loneliness through engaging conversations, activities, and outings.
* Supporting with personal hygiene, grooming, and maintaining dignity and privacy.
* Managing medication according to care plans.
* Preparing nutritious meals considering dietary needs and preferences.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy home environment.
* Supporting mobility and safe transfers.
* Monitoring health and reporting changes to healthcare professionals and family.
* Encouraging social inclusion and community participation.
* Providing emotional support and reassurance.
* Keeping accurate records of care and incidents.
* Ensuring safety and responding to emergencies.
* Collaborating with care team members and family for comprehensive care.
Qualifications
What you'll need (besides a cape and superpowers!)
No previous social care experience is necessary. We value your compassion, communication skills, resilience, eagerness to learn, and commitment to respectful care. You should have:
* The right to work in the UK
* A driving licence and access to a vehicle (especially important in rural areas)
