We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our frontline People Operations Team. In this role, you’ll be a key point of contact, providing first-line support for People enquiries, both internally and externally, while ensuring alignment with Council policies and employment legislation. Your previous experience in the People sector will help you manage a varied workload with confidence. Strong time management and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential as you contribute to a fast-paced and supportive team environment.
Role purpose
To deliver a highly effective People operations function, that meets legislative compliance
To deliver excellent customer service and provide support for enquires both internally and externally
Utilise the People Team Service Desk and HR Management System to support people services related administrative activities across the organisation and to ensure data accuracy
About You
Experience of working in an HR and payroll environment providing administrative support
Strong demonstrable administration skills: able to write letters, produce management reports, note take, produce management and performance information
Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Basic understanding of key employment policies and employment legislation
Proficient in the use of ICT, particularly Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to build effective working relationships across the organisation
Able to support the wider team in employee meetings and on projects as required
High level of attention to detail
Effective organisation skills in order to work to deadlines, manage workload and conflicting priorities,
