About the Client 167 Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-funded, fast-growing cosmetic and skincare manufacturing start-up operating a modern production facility in the UK. The business delivers high-quality cosmetic and personal care products through OEM and ODM manufacturing, supporting both UK and international brand partners.
With strong investment backing and ambitious growth plans, the company is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to play a key role in scaling production operations, improving efficiency, and embedding robust manufacturing standards.
The Role As Manufacturing Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising day-to-day production operations within the manufacturing facility. You will ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong production management experience in a cosmetics or personal care environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage daily production operations, ensuring output, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved
Develop and maintain production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and business growth requirements
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, GMP standards, and internal quality procedures
Lead, train, and develop production teams, driving performance, accountability, and engagement
Monitor production KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate closely with quality, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production flow
Oversee equipment performance and planned maintenance to minimise downtime
Support inventory planning for raw materials and finished goods in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
Contribute to operational planning as the business scales manufacturing capacity
Required Experience & Skills Proven experience in a Manufacturing Production Manager, Production Manager, or similar role within a manufacturing environment
Experience within cosmetics, skincare, beauty, or personal care manufacturing is highly desirable
Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and health and safety compliance
Working knowledge of GMP, ISO, or similar regulatory standards
Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
Analytical mindset with the ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency
Comfortable using production planning and manufacturing management systems
Clear and confident communicator able to work effectively across teams
