Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Depot: Aylesbury
Main Duties:
Be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all delivery requirements for the depot are successfully met. The supervisor is required to monitor the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods, whilst being responsible for the line management of the staff within the distribution team, including the warehouse staff.
Key Skills:
Ensuring that the warehouse as a whole runs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Updating route sheets as & when required.
Security checks on the open/shutdown of the operation.
Analyse data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
Ensuring that products are dealt with efficiently in the warehouse and are successfully delivered to customers.
To ensure that the warehouse and its housekeeping are maintained to a high standard.
To ensure that stock is stored within health and safety guidelines.
To ensure all processes are followed and adhered to with regard to loading/unloading, including checking of all loads, shrink wrapping, and load security.
Ensuring adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload.
Delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output.
Conduct or support with disciplinary/capability/grievance procedures as required.
