Job Description
Barbourne Brook is a dynamic, fast-growing customs consultancy powered by cutting-edge technology. Our proprietary platform, CAT360, enables us to deliver tailored, efficient solutions that set us apart in a complex and evolving industry. We foster a supportive and collaborative team environment, and our forward-thinking approach has earned us the trust of some of the UK’s most recognisable brands.
The Role: Customs Duty Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
* Reclaim Management – Collating client documentation, managing follow-ups, organising structured records, and performing data checks.
* CAT360 Support – Uploading and managing data, coordinating updates, and user acceptance testing.
* Project Administration – Setting up projects in our systems, managing internal documentation, and producing high-quality written outputs, including call notes and templates.
* Training and Onboarding – Assisting in new account setup and delivering client and internal user training (client and internal facing).
* Data Management – Maintaining PowerQuery files for imports/exports, tracking status through Excel-based tools.
* Bill of Discharge Support – Reviewing CDS data, following up on commercial documentation, and compiling structured submission packs.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel (PowerQuery is a plus, but training can be provided).
Strong written and verbal communication.
Comfortable working with large datasets and structured documentation.
Curious, proactive and keen to understand how our systems and processes work.
A team player who takes pride in doing things properly.
Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
Desirable Skills
Exposure to AI tools or automation technologies.
Familiarity with international trade, customs or compliance work.
This role would suit someone who...
Enjoys structured, behind-the-scenes work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Wants to contribute to a growing, innovation-led consultancy.
Comes from a data-heavy administrative, financial, or supply chain background.
Has studied a numerate or technical subject or gained equivalent skills to a high level.
