Position Summary
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Refurbishment) to join our Housing Partnerships team based in Yorkshire. The main purpose of the role is to manage the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by Seddon.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that Seddon SHE, quality standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.
* Adopt and comply with the Seddon contract delivery processes in your daily disciplines.
* Forecast cash on an accurate and timely basis, ensuring the project cash position is maximised without compromising contractual arrangements with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Carry out cost and value reconciliations, procure and manage subcontract packages and administer a range of contracts concurrently.
* Evaluate CVIs, Architect or EA instructions and subcontractor variations.
* Raise alarm signals to the Senior QS when the contract is straying outside the cost and profit parameters.
* Apply skills to maximise margins in cooperation with the Contracts / Project Manager by keeping cost to a minimum and value to a maximum by all professional legitimate means.
* Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors to continuously improve customer experience, improve the company and obtain repeat and negotiated business.
Qualifications and Skills
* QS Degree or equivalent.
* Good data interrogation and analytical skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Experience of management accounts.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Commercial contracting experience.
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Proficient, timely and accurate data entries.
* Understanding and compliance of financial and performance reporting.
* Full UK driving licence.
