Salary: £45,352 - £51,048 pro rata term time only

About the Role
You will join a team of 6 Specialist Teachers and 2 Specialist TAs who assess and support children and young people in early years, mainstream, special, and post 16 settings. The team is highly valued by settings and families.
The post is 0.5 FTE (term time only, 16.25 hours per week) and is county‑wide. You will work peripatetic with most of the time spent teaching interventions, assessing, and delivering advice and training presentations within settings. Lincolnshire County Council provides a mileage allowance of 45p per mile for all business mileage undertaken from the designated work base.
Key responsibilities
* Assess and support children and young people with developmental language disorder (DLD) and other severe speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
* Deliver specialist teaching interventions and provide advice and training to schools and families.
* Collaborate with the Speech and Language Therapy Team, the Inclusion Team, and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Service (SEND).
* Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care plans for children aged 4–25.
Essential qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Relevant experience in a specialist teaching role dealing with speech, language and communication needs.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Desirable criteria
* Experience working in peripatetic or county‑wide placement.
* Knowledge of the SEN and SEND frameworks.
