Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop our company-wide H&S function across multiple live construction projects.
The Role
This is a senior-level position offering real influence and autonomy within the business. You will take ownership of health & safety strategy, operational compliance, fire safety, systems management, and construction site standards across all projects.
The role will suit an experienced construction H&S professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing both operational and strategic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all company Health & Safety operations across multiple construction sites
* Ensure compliance with all UK H&S legislation including CDM 2015
* Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies and procedures
* Act as the company lead for:
* RAMS
* Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
* Site mobilisation
* Toolbox talks and workforce engagement
* Incident investigations and reporting
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
* Support Site Managers and operational teams with safe delivery
* Manage H&S documentation and operational systems
* Oversee traffic management and logistics coordination
* Act as the company Fire Safety Lead and first point of contact for all fire-related matters
* Manage emergency planning, fire risk assessments, and hot works controls
* Maintain and develop the company Operations Manual and compliance systems
* Promote a positive safety culture across the business
What We’re Looking For
Essential
✔ NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
✔ Strong knowledge of UK construction H&S legislation
✔ Experience working for a Principal Contractor
✔ Proven experience managing H&S across live construction projects
✔ Excellent knowledge of:
* CDM Regulations 2015
* RAMS
* CPPs
* Site audits and compliance systems
✔ Strong communication and leadership skills
✔ Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* CMIOSH status
* ISO 45001 experience
* Fire Safety qualification
* Experience across commercial and residential projects
