Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Specialist SchoolLocation: Meldreth, Cambridgeshire/ HertfordshireSalary: £12.37 - £13.49 per hour (£22,102.72 - £24,103.93actual salary) depending on experience and qualificationsHours: Full time - 40 hrs per week, Mon - Fri. Term time onlyWe are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school supporting complex learning difficulties, often associated with profound physical disabilities and/or medical needs based in Meldreth.The role:Be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development and progress in all areas of the curriculum within a range of learning contexts including the classroom, the local environment and within the communityHelp young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions and autism to achieve their educational and personal goalsSupport an environment that fosters equality, diversity and the rights of all young people to be seen as learners and be treated with respectPlace an emphasis on support and empowerment of young peopleDevelop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of Aurora and demonstrate these in all aspects of the roleProvide high quality support in all aspects of the roleThe role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routinesExperience /Qualifications:You must hold at least level 2 / C grade (or equivalent) Maths and EnglishWilling and able to work towards getting formal qualifications, attend training and to take responsibility for your own development - All fully funded by usPassionate and show compassion for children and young people with additional needsAmbitious and determined to overcome barriers to learningA lover of the outdoor and community learningCapable of having a vision to see potential rather than disabilityCommitted fully to our safeguarding values and proceduresProactive, rather than reactiveCreative thinkers with solution focusAble to work supportively as a team member and confidentially when working independently, within a range of settingsExcellent communication skills, particularly in relation to our students communication needsAble to understand and deliver effective education and support in line with identified needsBenefits:Full training and continued supportOpportunity to study the Level 3 diploma for Teaching Assistants or further qualifications which will be funded by the schoolBeing part of an accredited highly skilled specialist teamBeing part of a growing team with shared values and visionOpportunities for meaningful career developmentFully funded training and qualificationsLife assurancePension planPerk Box- offering high street discountsEmployee assistance programmeBike to work schemeCar lease schemeINDMLTATPBN1_UKTJ
