About the SEN Learning Support role: In this role, you will support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Whether providing one-to-one assistance or working within small groups, your support will help students engage in learning and build essential life skills in a safe and inclusive environment. As a SEN Learning Support, your responsibilities will be: Provide personalised support to students with a variety of special educational needs. Assist with the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted learning interventions. Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in and outside the classroom. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide consistent care and support. Monitor and report on student progress to help shape future learning strategies. Offer personal care and mobility support when needed. Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils. SEN LSA Requirements: Prior experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational or care setting. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance. A degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or a related subject is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to student support. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
