As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
* Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Clean and organise workstations, including cooking equipment and utensils.
* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A team player with good communication skills.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
