The role involves overseeing the installation of large-scale mechanical systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in line with engineering specifications and project milestones.**Key Responsibilities:*** Supervise mechanical erection of turbines, generators, condensers, pumps, and associated systems* Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain productivity and compliance with safety standards* Conduct inspections, walkdowns, and quality checks to verify installation integrity* Manage installation documentation, method statements, and risk assessments* Ensure alignment, tolerances, and mechanical fit-out meet design and operational requirements* Support commissioning readiness and interface with commissioning and QA teams* Enforce permit-to-work systems and maintain strong safety culture during night shift operations* Provide clear handovers and progress updates to day shift and project management teams**Requirements:*** Proven experience supervising mechanical erection on large industrial or energy projects* Strong understanding of rotating equipment, lifting operations, and mechanical systems* SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent supervisory certification preferred* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills* Willingness to work long-term night shift rotation* Familiarity with nuclear safety culture and quality assurance standards is an advantageIf this is something you are interested in, please apply or for more information please reach out to Alex.Boudin@nrl.co.uk
