The Role
Preparation Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Basic + Competitive bonus
Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 42.5
Our workshops are a key department on every site and we are looking for a Preparation Supervisor to supervise the workshop and yard team reporting directly into the Preparation Manager. You will help drive our aim of becoming the most desired car retailer by cutting through outdated car industry clichés.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Pre-delivery Inspection Technicians and Vehicle Preparation Assistants to deliver high quality standards in the preparation of all vehicles ready for display and delivery to customers.
* Manage productivity and efficiency of the team, matching workload to resource.
* Coach and develop the preparation teams, ensuring they have the resources to deliver results.
* Ensure work is allocated to individuals and productivity is maintained while upholding quality.
* Work closely with the store management team to ensure a high level of customer service to all customers.
* Maintain good administrative procedures and filing of relevant documents.
* Work with sub contractors on site and maintain good relations to ensure quality of work.
* Carry out all duties in line with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
* Due to the nature of the role you will need a full, clean driving licence.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking someone with a proven track record in a similar role, particularly workshop control, quality control, and logistics management, along with people management and leadership experience. The role requires being well organised with a methodical approach to workload management across multiple processes. IT literacy with working knowledge of Outlook and Excel is expected.
