Job Opportunity: Corporate Tax Senior Manager
TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager at a highly regarded accountancy firm based in Sevenoaks. This position provides excellent exposure and a clear progression route to become a Director. Part-time applicants will also be considered.
Responsibilities
1. Support Directors on complex assignments, providing technical expertise and guidance.
2. Prepare and oversee the completion of complex client tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Manage and service a personal client portfolio, delivering tailored advice and solutions.
4. Lead departmental initiatives, processes, and projects, including supervising, training, and developing team members.
5. Collaborate with other departments, clients, and Directors to identify cross-selling opportunities and generate business leads.
6. Actively support Tax Associates, Directors, and non-Tax Managers, fostering a cohesive and productive team environment.
7. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through courses, webinars, and professional reading, applying insights to client needs.
8. Assist with tax team financials, including chargeable time, recoveries, and billings, alongside senior team members.
9. Support marketing efforts by contributing content, attending networking events, and identifying growth opportunities.
10. Mentor and develop Tax Managers, providing performance feedback and guidance to support their growth and career progression.
Requirements
* Qualifications and Experience: ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA qualified, or qualified by experience, with a strong background in corporate or mixed tax advisory/planning, gained in an accounting or tax boutique firm.
* Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of corporate tax with the ability to handle complex client scenarios; experience with EIS, EMI options, and R&D Tax Credits is preferred but not essential.
* Client and Team Focus: Strong communication skills, client-focused approach, and the ability to liaise effectively while mentoring and supporting junior staff.
* Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
