<div><h3>Employer Liaison and Work Placement Officer</h3><p>This is a fixed term post of 37 hours a week until 31 March 2026.</p><p>Communities for Work+ (CfW+) is a Welsh Government programme tackling poverty through sustainable employment, providing intensive employment mentoring and support.</p><p>Communities for Work+ provides specialist employment advisory support and intensive mentoring to people who are under‑represented in the labour market, including young, older and disabled people; Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people; and those with care responsibilities.</p><p>The programme focuses on increasing the employability of economically inactive and long‑term unemployed adults who have complex barriers to employment.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver effective and sustained working relationships with micro businesses, sole traders and other employers to secure work‑based training and employability opportunities for participants.</li><li>Identify employment opportunities for participants and promote the services of the programme to a wide range of stakeholders.</li><li>Source vacancies and opportunities for participants and provide in‑work support.</li><li>Identify and establish contacts with local employers through innovative outreach and marketing activities to promote CfW+ and the benefits of recruiting its participants.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other employer liaison functions both internally and externally to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to employer relations and opportunities for participants.</li><li>Provide a flexible, high‑quality service and work as part of an integrated team.</li><li>Travel across Pembrokeshire and attend meetings/forums across Wales; a car is required.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><p>Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.</p><p>Applicants may submit in Welsh; applications will not be treated less favourably than those in English.</p><p>Welsh language skills are desirable.</p><p>Applicants must have access to a car for travel.</p><p>Eligibility for DBS disclosure check and possible Cifas reference as described in the original description.</p><h3>Employment Checks</h3><p>This post is subject to a DBS disclosure check.</p><p>Personal information will be shared with Cifas for fraud prevention.</p><h3>Safeguarding</h3><p>Safeguarding and protecting children and adults at risk is a high priority for the Council.
