Working every day during term time 2.30pm- 6pm as part of the Whartons Primary School After School Club. The club caters for children on roll at school aged between 4-11years. The after-school club is based within the school building and grounds and is run by a voluntary committee working closely with school senior leaders. The successful candidate will:
Responsibilities
* Lead the day to day set up, management and organisation of the out of school care provision
* Line manage a team of play workers, directing the work of staff and supervising their activities
* Be a team player who is committed to the aims and ethos of our after-school club
* Be flexible and confident in supporting children\'s wellbeing and learning in an extended school setting
* Have a positive, consistent approach to behaviour management inside and outside of the setting
* Have successful experience of supporting the learning and development of individuals or groups
* Be able to lead and motivate a team to deliver high quality creative play opportunities
* Have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum as appropriate
* Create and maintain a calm, welcoming, \'home from home\' environment
* To liaise with the school where necessary with regard to the needs of the children who attend the out of school hours care provision
* To liaise with parents and to encourage parental involvement and support for the out of school hours care provision
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 3 or above qualification in childcare or another appropriate subject.
* Appropriate training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
* All appointments are subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.

Salary: £17.09 p/h - £14,697 - Actual salary
