Job Description
The role involves working closely with team members to produce concrete in a safe, clean environment, ensuring the highest level of customer service. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the first impression regarding the cleanliness of the yard, plant, and facilities.
Key Accountabilities
1. Coordinate with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure concrete/mortar production meets customer requirements, adhering to quality standards and procedures.
2. Regularly inspect and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring cleanliness of the plant, buildings, and facilities as per instructions.
3. Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions following environmental procedures.
4. Ensure adequate materials are available for production, inspect incoming materials, and conduct weekly stock checks.
5. Enforce safety instructions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
6. Optimize plant, equipment, and material utilization through continuous review of work methods.
7. Comply with relevant legislation, including the Restrictive Trade Practices Act and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
8. Maintain knowledge through training and adhere to company policies and procedures.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
10. Operate batching plant and FEL to company standards, maintaining site presentation and cleanliness.
11. Accurately batch concrete/mortar when trained, ensure stock levels, and conduct routine maintenance and defect inspections.
12. Report safety, environmental, or quality issues promptly.
13. Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality control, and fraud prevention policies.
