Position: Technical Trainer (Engineer Trainer) Location: Glasgow, Head Office Job Type: Full time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 39.5 hours per week Salary: £38.000.00 per annum Benefits: 28 days annual leave 4 public holidays, healthcare cash plan, life insurance, private pension, staff discounts and more! The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen within Matthew Algie to apply for the position of Engineering Trainer on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and delivery of engaging and effective training programmes, with the aim of developing a highly skilled, confident, and capable workforce. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver concise and detailed training plans and assessments on our portfolio of machines. • Support and liaise with departmental service managers on training needs. • Create, maintain, and manage training records and feedback documentation. • Ensure all training documentation is accurately collated, stored, and kept up to date within internal systems. • Deliver hands on technical training covering machine mechanics, hydraulics, and safety standards. • Navigate trainees around internal systems, e.g., SharePoint and call logging systems. • Provide field-based support for new employees during onboarding and development phases. • Keep field-based manuals and parts manuals up to date. • Deliver soft skills training to field engineers to support effective customer interactions and complaint resolution. E xperience • Ideally candidates will have 5–10 years’ experience working with coffee machines across multiple systems and manufacturers. • Candidates from a training background with strong transferable electrical and mechanical skills will also be considered. Education/Qualifications: • Degree-level qualification in any engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant workplace experience. Personal Attributes • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to travel throughout the UK/Ireland to deliver the business training plan. • Strong work ethic with a proactive and professional approach. • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. • Knowledge of various training and teaching methods. • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
