The Location
The role is based at our client's site near Preston.
The Role
* To lead and coordinate the research, development and technical services function across all site competence.
* Liaise with your team, Sales, Production Planning, Production Management, Quality / HSE, Maintenance and Purchasing by providing technical support for any new or ongoing development projects.
* Contribute as necessary to the design/formulation of new products.
* Identify new materials and technologies available in the market.
Your Background
* Masters degree or a PHD qualification in a science related subject, such as chemistry, applied chemistry or material science.
* Accomplished senior manager within a complex manufacturing environment, working within a technical or research and development function with responsibilities for tecnical support, new product or process development.
