About The Role
Are you an experienced payroll professional ready to take ownership of a large-scale payroll operation? We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Payroll Analyst to join our team at Practice Plus Group, managing the full end-to-end payroll process for over 2,000 employees across our Secondary Care division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic finance function in one of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers—where accuracy, compliance, and service excellence are at the core of everything we do.
This is a fixed-term contractfor up to 12-months to cover a period of maternity leave.
What you'll be doing
As our Payroll Analyst, you will be:
* Leading on the delivery of accurate and timely end-to-end payroll for our HC02 payroll group (covering hospitals and treatment centres).
* Ensuring all statutory and voluntary deductions are processed and paid on time.
* Handling payroll-related queries, resolving issues, and providing clear and timely communication to employees.
* Maintaining and developing payroll procedures and audit processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Building effective working relationships with Finance, HR, Business Systems, and Operations teams.
* Identifying and suggesting process improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and efficiencies.
* Supporting a robust control environment to ensure accuracy and mitigate compliance risks.
What we’ll look for in you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience managing end-to-end payroll processes in a large organisation.
* Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and audit requirements.
* Excellent Excel skills and experience with payroll systems—iTrent experience highly desirable.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proven problem-solving and time management skills.
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals or equivalent (or working towards it).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach.
* Experience in NHS payroll would be a valuable advantage.
