This is an excitingopportunity for outstanding finance professionals to join a growing andevolving Management Accounts team. We have 2 Senior Management Accountant poststhat will be pivotal in supporting Dorset ICB with accurate and timelyfinancial reporting, analysis and advice.
You will be joining a large and busymanagement accounts team playing a key role in:
Helping to shape the management accountsfunction as part of the move towards a fully developed Integrated Care System.
Act as finance lead fornominated business functions, supporting financial aspects of transformationalwork and providing expert financial advice and guidance to support seniormanagers in their ownership and delivery of budgets.
1. Primary Care andPrescribing (circa £310m budget)
2. Mental Healthand Community Services (circa £300m budget)
3. Personal HealthCommissioning (circa £130m budget)
4. Dental,Pharmacy, Optometry, and Specialised Commissioning (circa £70m budget)
5. CorporateServices including staff budgets and corporate running costs (circa £45mbudget)
Support, design, develop andapply implementation of systems which deliver the monthly management accountsprocesses in line with best practice and ensure value for money for the ICB.

The successful candidate(s) will;
6. Have, or be working towards, a fullCCAB / CIMA qualification.
7. Substantial track record as anexperienced management accountant
8. Be a strong verbal and writtencommunicator with a proven ability to convey complex data to non-financecolleagues.
9. Have excellent analytical skillswith an attention to detail.
10. Be experienced in leading andmanaging a team of finance professionals.

Job responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE
The SeniorManagement Accountant is a senior member of the finance team and is responsiblefor:
27. Lead Finance team in delivering full range of tasks associated with ensuringaccurate and timely financial reporting, together with effective financialmanagement and control. Support delivery of ICB objectives, both financial andoperational and provide challenge to expenditure, ensuing delivery of VFM forthe ICB.
28. Act as finance business partner for the ICB financeteam, supporting financial aspects of transformational work and acting asfinance lead to support the budget manager in their ownership and delivery ofcorporate budget.
29. Support design, develop and apply implementation of systems which deliverthe monthly management accounts processes in line with best practice and thelatest ISFE requirements.
30. Lead on ensuring that invoices and payments are processedand scheduled on an accurate and timely basis in accordance with theircontracts, agreements and national policies.
31. Ensure the regular production of quality reports and analysis thatprovide timely, responsive and accurate business intelligence for decisionmaking against key objectives and priorities.
32. To provide expert knowledge as main ICB point of contact for nominatedbusiness function(s) including acting as finance interface with NHS England andother external stakeholders.
33. Deputise for the Deputy Head of Management Accounts at month end,meetings and as required.
34. To maintain a professional manner in all aspects ofservices provided to all stakeholders, including responding in a timely fashionwith clear communication, and consistent with conduct expected of an ICBemployee.

40. Knowledge of finance IT systems and knowledge of system development

42. Previous experience of training and motivating teams and appraising performance and development of needs as required.
