Based out of Sutton Courtenay for our waste management client we are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Weighbridge Operative to start as soon as possible. You will be the first point of contact for drivers and customers arriving at our facility, playing a key role in ensuring waste movements are accurately recorded and that all duties of care are met in line with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accurately book vehicles in and out of site using the weighbridge system, ensuring all weights and vehicle details are correctly recorded.
2. Maintain precise records for waste acceptance duty of care, including completing and checking waste transfer notes and ensuring compliance with site permitting requirements.
3. Be courteous to customers at all times, providing a professional and helpful service to drivers, contractors, and members of the public.
4. Assist customers wherever safe, practical, and necessary, including giving basic directions on site or helping with paperwork queries.
5. Keep the weighbridge office and immediate surrounding area clean and tidy at all times, ensuring a safe and organised working environment.
Hours:
Thursday and Friday 06:45-16:30
(Possibility for Saturday 06:45-13:00)
You must be available to work Monday to Friday for the first couple of weeks to complete full training. After this, your regular shift pattern will be Thursday to Friday.
