SMS Mining Services is a privately owned, West Australian based Mining Contractor. Founded in 2000, we have evolved from Equipment Rental to encompass Maintenance and Contract mining divisions.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Managers with an open cut mining background to join projects scheduled for Q3/Q4 2025. You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Management of day-to-day mining project(s)
* Ensure operations are executed in line with contract and client requirements, whilst ensuring financial outcomes are maximized and risks are minimized
* Manage and control manning activities
* Promoting safety and environmental awareness to all employees
* Building a strong internal and external customer-focused culture and practices to deliver positive project results
* Building a competent, engaged, and performance-driven workforce and providing appropriate development opportunities to build internal capability
* Staying up-to-date with new technology and opportunities that improve production, quality, cost, safety, and environmental performance
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in a senior mining leadership role, accompanied by a Quarry Manager Ticket or First-Class Mining Manager Ticket
* Must have successfully completed DMIRS Statutory Supervisor exam
* Experienced with both Drill & Blast and Load & Haul in an open cut mining environment
* Strong contract management experience with particular focus on effective delivery to clients
* Ability to develop and manage project budgets
