Job description
Working as a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working as part of an multi-disciplinary team dedicated to building on students confidence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing high-quality educational experiences to young people.
* Helping to shape a developing service whilst enhancing your own clinical skills.
* Working within a specialist clinical area with support and supervision of a more senior SaLT for more complex cases.
* Contributing to service specific projects.
* Using evidence-based practice, student centred principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention.
* Working closely with students, their peers and families.
* Being aware of and complying with responsibilities regarding risk management and safeguarding and look for ways improve, taking action as required.
Requirements:
* Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
* Experience of working with young people.
* Excellent communication and written ability.
* Ability to work flexibly.
* A thorough understanding of the wider issues related to supporting children with profound and severe needs.
