Job Details
1. Job title: Senior commercial finance analyst (interim)
2. Location: Bristol-based role
3. Hybrid working: 2 days office-based/ 3 days from home
4. Start date: September 2025 onwards
5. Comtract lenght: 3-6 months initially
What you'll be doing You'll provide financial and analytical support to the trading team, producing weekly routine reports along with seasonal and promotional analysis. You will also support in the production of month-end accounts, including journal processing and reconciliations and support with audit requirements, and ensure a clean cut-off at half year and year-end.
6. Daily & Weekly reporting of business performance
7. Ad-hoc seasonal reporting for key trading periods
8. Month-end reporting including processing journals, reconciling balances, and interpreting variances for various P&L lines
9. Support with production of monthly board packs
10. Support with the planning cycles (budgets & forecasts)
11. Ad-hoc analysis & modelling relevant to the role
12. Driving the transition from manual sales reporting to automated reports
13. Other tasks appropriate to the role to support the finance and trading teams
What we're looking for
14. Qualified accountant: ACA/CIMA/ACCA
15. Hybrid working (min. 2 days in the Bristol office)
16. Commercial Finance experience in retail or e-commerce sectors would be useful
17. Demonstrated analytical and financial acumen in delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, as well as month-end reporting
18. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
19. Advanced Excel Skills
