Overview
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is recruiting a part-time Housekeeping Services Assistant at Orchard Place. This is a permanent role working 15 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 17:00–20:00 and Friday 16:30–19:30).

Main duties of the job
We maintain cleaning standards to a star-rated audit process and work with clinical teams and infection control to ensure the cleanliness of the Trust’s estate in line with national standards and the Trust’s cleaning plan. You will deliver a fully comprehensive and professional cleaning service to meet NHS standards, working in various settings such as community hospitals, inpatient settings, health centres, clinics and administration areas. You will relay information that may impact other services. The role offers variety as no two days are the same.
Responsibilities include a range of cleaning duties (bathrooms, kitchens, wards, clinics, theatres, offices, etc.) and specialised cleaning processes (including machines), with tasks tailored to service needs and patient care.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Non-specified, but relevant qualification and/or practical experience relevant to the role
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
* Foundation Food Hygiene or Basic Health and Safety
* NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning
Experience
* Previous experience of cleaning in an employed capacity
* Previous experience of cleaning in a clinical environment

Skills & Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
