Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Farnborough, providing support to children in Key Stage 1 .
Role Overview:
* Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
* Position: Learning Support Assistant
* Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm (term time only)
* Type: Full-time
* Pay: Minimum £85 per day, depending on experience
* Start Date: December 2024
* End Date: Ongoing
* Contract Type: Temporary
Responsibilities:
* Provide learning support to pupils, working both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
* Collaborate with other support and education staff.
* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
* Manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
* Experience working with children and young people with SEN or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
* Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively.
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but training can be provided).
Eligibility:
* Right to Work in the UK.
* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
* Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
