About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactiveMaintenance Engineerto join our state-of-the-artautomated cold storage facility. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance at heights of up to120ftand in temperatures as low as-23C. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer experienced inFMCG, automation, or warehouse engineeringto join a cutting-edge operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and operate critical automated systems including conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems.
* Deliverplanned preventative maintenance (PPM)and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
* Work to operational KPIs and supportcontinuous improvementinitiatives.
* Adhere to safety guidelines and maintenance plans to ensure full compliance.
* Liaise with suppliers, manage warranty work, and coordinate service visits.
* Support warehouse operations to maintain efficient logistics and equipment performance.
* Manage engineering stock, spare parts, and inventory control.
* Produce clear and timely engineering reports for the Engineering Manager.
* Identify and implement energy-saving, cost-efficient improvements across the facility.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Apprentice-trained engineering background
* Experience within anFMCG automated warehouse,distribution centre, orindustrial engineering environment
Desirable:
* Cold store,freezer warehouse, orammonia refrigeration plantexperience
* Experience working at heights
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in automated systems
