Be the Bridge Between Science and Care

As a Medical Science Liaison covering the North of the UK, you'll be at the heart of that mission — acting as a trusted scientific partner to the cardiovascular healthcare community and helping ensure patients get timely access to life-changing therapies.

The Role

This is a field-based position covering the North of the UK, with a focus on the Cardiovascular therapeutic area. You will be the primary scientific point of contact for cardiovascular Thought Leaders and Healthcare Providers across your territory, representing BMS's innovative portfolio in this critical disease area.

What You'll Do

You'll work directly with Thought Leaders (TLs) and Healthcare Providers (HCPs) across the cardiovascular landscape in the North of the UK, building lasting peer-to-peer relationships and delivering high-impact scientific exchange. Your days will be dynamic, purposeful, and varied:

Be the Face of BMS Cardiovascular Science in the Field

1. Engage TLs and HCPs with balanced, accurate, and compelling scientific dialogue on cardiovascular disease management, BMS products, and HEOR data
2. Respond confidently to complex clinical and scientific questions across multiple channels — from 1:1 meetings to group presentations (in-person and remote)
3. Stay ahead of the curve by continuously updating your knowledge of cardiovascular treatment strategies, competitive landscapes, and unmet medical needs

Shape Strategy from the Ground Up

4. Develop your own territory Field Medical Plan for the North of the UK, aligned with cardiovascular therapeutic area objectives
5. Contribute to cross-functional institution/account planning
6. Feed meaningful medical insights back to internal teams to inform strategy

Support Internal Teams & Medical Education

7. Provide scientific training and updates to commercial, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and market access colleagues
8. Support promotional meetings with unbiased, data-driven scientific presentations

Advance Clinical Research

9. Support interventional and non-interventional research studies — from site identification to patient recruitment support
10. Advise on study feasibilities based on real-world field intelligence across the North of the UK
11. Assist HCPs with Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) submissions
12. Ensure pharmacovigilance standards are understood and upheld at local study sites

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

13. MD, PharmD, or PhD — OR a Science degree with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
14. Experience as a clinician or MSL preferred, ideally with a background in cardiovascular medicine

15. A natural communicator who can translate complex cardiovascular data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences
16. Strong relationship-builder with the ability to earn the trust of senior scientific and clinical stakeholders
17. Self-motivated, independent, and equally effective as a collaborative team player
18. A rapid learner who thrives when diving into new therapeutic areas
19. Based in or willing to work across the North of the UK, with comfort for regular travel and field-based working (60–70%+ of your time will be in the field)
20. Proficient with basic IT tools and platforms

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
