Shepherd Neame is looking for a part-time Kitchen Porter to join our team. If you enjoy hospitality but prefer working behind the scenes supporting your colleagues and contributing to the team's overall success, then this may be just the job for you.
Located in Bearstead, near Maidstone, the Oak on the Green sits on one of the prettiest village greens in England. Founded in 1665, the Oak Inn has hosted famous visitors such as Baroness Orczy, creator of the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Kent leg spin bowler Alfred Percy 'Tich' Freeman. Today, the Oak on the Green is renowned for using largely local produce throughout its extensive food menu, offering both British and Mexican cuisine.
Great kitchen porters are key to a successful kitchen. In this role, you will work as part of our friendly and supportive team to ensure the delivery of a great and efficient dining experience for our customers.
If you have no previous experience, don’t worry. As long as you are confident, committed, and a great team player, we can train you and teach you everything else you need to know.
