2 weeks contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Services Cleaner to join the team on a short-term temporary basis (2 weeks contract), providing cleaning and upkeep support for estate services.
• The role involves manual labour and is intended to cover annual leave within the team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors across the estate.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Carrying out internal and external cleaning of communal areas, including stairwells, corridors, entrances, bin stores, and other shared spaces.
• Sweeping, mopping, litter picking, and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Ensuring that cleaning is undertaken in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Using appropriate cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
• Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate team.
• Assisting with light manual labour tasks as required to support the estate services team.
• Representing the service with professionalism and courtesy while engaging with residents.
Skills/Experience:
• Previous cleaning experience is essential, ideally in residential or estate environments.
• Good understanding of COSHH regulations and general health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour, including lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow schedules and complete tasks to a high standard without constant supervision.
• Clear and respectful communication skills when interacting with colleagues and residents.

• Basic DBS check required.
