What you will do
* Carry out Initial Assessments to inform care planning.
* Initiate Care Proceedings where necessary.
* Take cases to initial case conferences, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
* Conduct assessments under the single assessment framework.
* Engage in thorough Care Planning and signposting to appropriate services.
* Perform risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
* Prepare detailed reports for initial child protection case conferences.
* Attend and contribute to case conferences as needed.
* Complete Section 17 reports for family courts to support proceedings.
* Draft initial court statements with accuracy and clarity.
* Apply for emergency care orders in urgent situations.
* Fulfil your duty by attending court sessions.
* Carry out home visits to monitor and safeguard children effectively.
* Chair meetings to facilitate collaborative discussions and decision-making.
Requirements of the Social Worker
* A Degree or equivalent in social work.
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Substantial frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
