Civils Planner – Major Infrastructure Project
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on one of the UK’s landmark energy infrastructure projects. Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you’ll work closely with highly experienced professionals in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone who has transitioned from site - such as an Engineer or Agent - and is now looking to build a long-term career in planning.
What you’ll be doing
As a Civils Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing robust construction programmes that support successful project delivery from tender stage through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing, maintaining, and updating detailed construction programmes
* Ensuring programmes align with internal planning procedures and industry best practice
* Analysing the critical path and identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities
* Supporting delivery teams with sequencing, resource planning, and progress tracking
* Producing clear and accurate planning outputs, including schedules, reports, planning narratives, and KPIs
* Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to keep the project on track
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a motivated and technically strong planner with:
* Proven experience in a Planner role within civil engineering or construction
* A background on site (Engineer / Agent) with a move into planning highly desirable
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and/or Microsoft Project
* A solid understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, and resource management
* Excellent analytical skills, communication ability, and stakeholder engagement experience
