On-Site Warehouse Supervisor DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Materials Manager, procurement team and manufacturing to ensure that stock levels are accurate and controlled, and that all materials replenishment across the site, including any 3 rd party warehousing, is managed, audited regularly to ensure sustained processes are followed and maintained. The role will encompass the people management of the Material Handling team, including attendance, performance, daily management, training/skill enhancement and mentoring. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties will include, but are not be limited to: Management of goods receipts and timely storage of parts in correct locations Management of daily Pick Requests Co-ordinating movement of materials between the production site and the warehouse. Co-ordinating regular cycle counts for A & B class components, and reporting results to Production Buyers. Executing inventory transactions in Oracle as required. Driving continuous improvement (Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, 5S and Productivity). Implementing standard work and maintaining it to the highest standard. Implementing and maintaining training and skills matrix records. Working cross functionally with other departments, especially Production. Driving Gemba (go see) daily visual management practice. Be the point for escalation for the Material Handling team and Production Team Leaders for shop floor material issues. Manage the warehouse team, including attendance, performance, daily management, training/skill enhancement and mentoring. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: Essential Good computer skills - ERP, Microsoft packages (email, Word, Excel). Strong previous warehouse management experience People management skills Understanding of material replenishment techniques e.g. MRP, kanban, VMI, trigger points, IMAG. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills. High degree of attention to detail with the ability to follow projects through to completion. Full UK driving licence Desirable Financial acumen for stock valuations. 6 months' experience within inventory/logistics environment. Forklift and reach truck license.
