The Opportunity:
With the continued success and growth of our services comes the opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join and support our Accounts Payable team. Reporting to the Manager of Plan Management and Accounts Payable, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functions of Accounts Payable.
The role will be part-time, working 38 hours per fortnight and based at our Head Office in Coniston. You will use your experience in working collectively with other team members in undertaking the day-to-day role responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:
* Providing support to the Accounts Payable team, utilising internal systems and Technology One accounting software.
* Assisting with vendor setup, including verification checks through the EFTSure payment verification platform.
* Supporting the team by accurately job coding and processing all accounts, including the large monthly accounts and the processing of direct debits and credit notes.
* Utilising your experience in basic bookkeeping, accuracy and high attention to detail in data entry and reconciliation of accounts, including month end processes.
* Responding in a timely manner to all enquiries, with care and empathy.
* Delivering exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, both internal and external and building strong working relationships.
* Working collaboratively within the team and all internal departments to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
* Adhere to relevant policies and procedures and strictly follow the Delegations Chart for processing of the accounts payable.
* Adhere to strong record keeping processes for compliance.
* Support the Accounts Payable manager with analysis on organisational purchasing and spend enquiries.
What you will bring:
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally supported by a relevant certificate qualification.
* A passion for numbers and an astute problem solver.
* Excellent communication skills, including a positive and helpful phone manner.
* Ability to work effectively through tight deadlines and manage volume of invoice processing.
* Enthusiasm for a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-skilled environment.
* Experience in Technology One accounting software and knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) desirable.
The successful candidate will be required to provide checks including a cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination and a valid Australian Driver Licence prior to commencing employment.
