We are seeking a calm, compassionate, and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the NP7 area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive, structured environment.
✅ About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group behavioural support to pupils.
Implement positive behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support behaviour plans.
Encourage emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interaction.
Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who have:
Experience working with children with behavioural, emotional, or social needs
Backgrounds in education, youth work, SEN, or childcare
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain patient and consistent
A nurturing, supportive, and confident approach
A passion for helping children succeed both academically and emotionally
Relevant training (Team Teach, MAPA, ELSA, etc.) is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
