We’re proud of our reputation for quality workmanship and outstanding customer service, and as we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled *Panel Beater* to join our team.What’s in it for you?* Competitive salary* Team bonus scheme* 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)* Length of service awards* Healthcare Cash Plan (including gym and shopping discounts)* Employee Assistance Programme* Celebration Day – a paid day to use for a meaningful occasion* Car insurance discount with LV* Company pension* Employee Engagement Budget for team activities* Access to Mental Health First Aiders* Cycle to Work Scheme* Refer a Friend Scheme – earn £1,000 per successful referral* More benefits coming soonThe RoleAs a *Panel Beater*, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles of all makes and models to manufacturer and industry standards, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant repairs every time.You’ll work as part of a skilled team in a fast-paced environment, taking pride in your workmanship and contributing to excellent customer outcomes.Key Responsibilities* Strip and refit vehicle panels, including alignment and adjustment* Carry out panel repairs to manufacturer and approved repair methods* Identify and report additional damage or defects not listed for repair* Ensure vehicles meet safety standards before return to customers* Remove, store, and dispose of vehicle components, fluids, and gases safely* Complete quality control checks with final stage sign-off* Report faults identified during repair that were not visible prior to dismantling* Use and maintain tools and equipment correctly, reporting any defects* Ensure repair methods are reviewed, understood, and displayed at all times* Complete QC sign-off at relevant repair stages* Protect vehicles using seat covers, foot mats, and soft-top protection* Complete filler repairs to P180 finish and check for pinholes* Apply underseal, weld-through primers, and corrosion protection as requiredSkills & Experience Required* Previous experience in a Panel Beater role* Motor manufacturer qualifications and hands-on experience* Current AOM009 welding certificate or BS equivalent* Training in MIG brazing, spot welding, rivet bonding, and high-strength/Boron steel* Light MET qualification linked to ATA* Bonding certification* Willingness to undertake further training as required* Full UK driving licence* A flexible, proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude* Takes responsibility for own work and actionsWhy Join ABL 1 Touch?Joining ABL 1 Touch means becoming part of a growing, forward-thinking organisation that invests in its people.
