About the Role
We are recruiting HGV C+E Day and Night Drivers to join our clients general haulage operation based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
This is a Temp to Perm position with excellent long-term potential.
Shift Pattern:
* 4 on 4 off (with overtime available)
Start Times:
* Days: 04:00 08:00
* Nights: 18:00 20:00
An unpaid assessment must be completed before starting.
AM Role Day Shifts
* Start between 04:00 08:00
* General haulage deliveries using curtainsider vehicles
* Required to strap and unstrap loads
* 13 drops per shift
* Permanent pay rate: £16.00 per hour
* £5 meal voucher per shift
PM Role Night Shifts
* Start between 18:00 20:00
* Mix of general haulage and Pets at Home deliveries
* Moffett training provided earn £15 extra per shift when used
* Work alongside a Pets at Home representative who unlocks and locks stores
* Required to strap and unstrap loads
* Curtainsider vehicles
* 34 drops per shift
* Permanent pay rate: £18.62 per hour
* £5 meal voucher per shift
About You
Were looking for professional, reliable, and safety-conscious drivers who take pride in their work and deliver excellent service.
Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence new passes welcome
* No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
* No DD, DR, IN, or MS90 conviction codes (insurance restrictions apply)
* Minimum age: 21 years (for insurance purposes)
* Positive, can-do attitude and good teamwork skills
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Good attention to detail and understanding of driver hours regulations
* Ability to manage time and deliveries efficiently, avoiding infringements
