Front-End Technical Lead, AFT Flow Engineering

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers, moving millions of units of inventory, employing tens of thousands, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Our approach combines automated solutions for tasks suited to technology with human intervention where needed. We are developing a new Flow Management solution to automate flow control from dock to dock (Inbound through Outbound). This multi-tenant UI consolidates all necessary Flow Management functionalities.
Key job responsibilities
You will design and build large-scale systems and critical features based on customer needs. Collaborating with business/operations leaders, UX designers, product managers, business intelligence engineers, and senior engineers, you will develop interactive, intuitive, and visually appealing web applications. You will manage multiple UIs within the AFT Flow Engineering organization and establish a vision for the suite of UIs handled by various teams.
You will engage with senior leadership by communicating results and providing technical guidance, influencing UI product strategy and roadmaps. This role offers a pathway to higher levels, with opportunities to contribute across multiple UI teams and shape strategies impacting many teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with advanced ReactJS concepts, browser APIs (e.g., custom elements), and graphic clients like ApolloClient and URQL
* Understanding of state management libraries such as Zustand or Signal
* Experience creating performant frontend websites with automated regression testing in CI pipelines
* Familiarity with backend development (Node.js, GraphQL, SQL) and large-scale distributed systems
* Knowledge of security concepts (Authentication, Authorization, SSO, Cryptography)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in transportation and logistics domain (preferred but not required)
