Job Description
This role can be done at either offices - Bury St Edmunds or Burton on Trent
The Corporate and Strategic Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, COO and CXO, and their respective teams. The team consists of high-performing finance professionals who, in addition to providing technical expertise and setting policy in the fields of Tax, Treasury and External reporting, support and drive the business in Property, Procurement, Operational Excellence and strategic projects, whilst business partnering the Corporate Functions. The overall team is further responsible for setting the Group planning agenda and strategic plan and driving the results to balance the needs of the business and the shareholder.
This role can be done from either Bury St Edmunds or Burton offices
Qualifications
Your role as Finance Manager
* To understand and provide meaningful analysis in terms of the latest trading across the group.
* Review periodic, quarterly, annual, and longer-term financial plans, providing challenge on performance and reporting these to CEO & CFO.
* Provide support to the wider corporate finance team, including quarterly reporting to the CK group as well as providing ad hoc financial support to the CEO, CFO and Executive board.
What you'll bring...
* Qualified Accountant CIMA (or equivalent)
* Commercial background with both retail and manufacturing sectors experience is desired
* Proven ability to assimilate, understand and provide insight on key financial information
* Creation and understanding of advanced excel spreadsheets, most especially for modelling
* Clear communicator, both written and in person
* Ability to deliver key financial and commercial messages successfully
* Attention to detail, ensuring that outputs are of high quality
* Strong people & team communication skills
* Desire to learn, improve and grow
* Enquiring mind with proactive approach to identifying solutions to problems
* Consistently deliver on commitments, despite challenging timescales and competing priorities
* Flexible approach to workload, able to adjust easily to changing priorities
* Proactive in seeking to understand the task at hand
* Self-starter
* Be confident in liaising with senior stakeholders across the business.
