Locum Consultant Dermatologist

We are looking for colleagues for a 1‑year fixed‑term position to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will work as part of an efficient and cohesive multidisciplinary team, interact well with local GPs, and supervise junior doctors on the dermatology emergency rota. They will also participate in all facets of department activity, including teaching, audit and research. The role is based in the Dermatology Centre on the St Mary’s Campus in Portsmouth.

Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* MBBS/MRCP or equivalent
* BSc/MD
Experience
* Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed date within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights
* General Medicine to Registrar Level
Additional criteria
* Demonstrable skills and experience of General Dermatology
* Sub‑speciality interest either surgical or medical
* Understanding of clinical risk management
* Evidence of participation in audit
* Good oral and written communication skills

* Logical thinking, problem solving and decision making
