If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic property development company specialising in innovative student accommodation and high-rise new builds and conversions.\n\nThey are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee the conversion of two existing buildings in the heart of Nottingham city centre into modern and vibrant student accommodation.
These two sites are conveniently located within a stone's throw of each other, offering a unique and manageable project scope.\n\nYour new role \n\nTaking full ownership of the project lifecycle from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nDeveloping and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.\nManaging and coordinating all on-site activities, including subcontractors, direct labour, and material deliveries.\nEnsuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and quality control procedures.\nLiaising effectively with architects, engineers, local authorities, and other stakeholders.\nProactively identifying and resolving any project-related issues or challenges.\nMonitoring progress against the program and providing regular updates to senior management.\nManaging project finances, including cost control and forecasting.\nEnsuring all necessary permits and approvals are in place.\nDriving a collaborative and positive working environment on site.\nWhat you'll need to succeed \n\nProven experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally with experience in student accommodation conversions or similar projects.\nA strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.\nExcellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.\nExceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.\nThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nRelevant industry qualifications (e.g., MCIOB, MSc, BSc)\nWhat you'll get in return \n\nUp to £300 per day when working freelance - if you want to go onto the books, a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, commensurate with your experience.\nA company car allowance\nA comprehensive benefits package.\nThe opportunity to join a growing and ambitious property development company.\nThe chance to lead exciting and impactful projects in a vibrant city centre location.\nA clear pathway for permanent employment based on your performance and contribution.\nWhat you need to do now \nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.\nIf this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.\n\nHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
